Artist Statement – Christina Mosegaard
Min stil er figurativ, og jeg arbejder hen imod et bestemt tidløst, æstetisk udtryk, som jeg finder i renæssancens og barokkens mestres værker.
Mine motiver er hentet fra en verden mellem flygtighed og udødelighed, både når det gælder materialevalg og motiver. Jeg bestræber mig med andre ord på at undersøge og videreudvikle Vanitas-begrebet.
CV
Educated partly at the American Academy of Art, Chicago, USA, and partly at the Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark in Copenhagen. Worked many years as a graphic designer, illustrator and art director at Danish and international advertising agencies. Her first exhibition was in 1998 in Copenhagen. She has since then exhibited at art galleries in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, at the Royal Academy of Art in London, Allan Stone Gallery in New York and Art Basel Miami Beach. Currently represented by three Danish galleries.
