Malte Fisker is an uncompromising artist when it comes to his artistic expression. He has persistently perfected his concrete expression so that he now appears with mature conviction and presents his first solo exhibition at Davis Gallery.
Fisker has painted a series of portraits inspired by people who are important in his life. Not that there is much figuration to be found, as the works are created instinctively using memory or portrait photos. The composition emerges as colors and surfaces continuously interact with each other. A slow and intense process. …. The result is a sharp, complete exhibition where the works speak individually with references to the portrayed.
