Ásgeir Pétursson is an Icelandic photographer who has lived and worked in Greenland and Iceland. His practice centres on ice, landscape, climate, and transformation, grounded in a documentary approach shaped by a clear artistic and poetic sensibility.
Rather than functioning as mere records of place, his photographs operate as visual narratives of time, nature, and humanity’s relationship with the environment. Through the series Icescapes, Pétursson conveys both beauty and loss, creating space for reflection on climate change — and for the possibility of action.
The exhibition Icescapes showcases the beautiful nature of the north, while simultaneously serving as an honest reminder of what is happening to our planet.
We look forward to seeing you,
Welcome
